I have gone to FLOSS dental since it was originally opened by Dr. Clint Herzog. I love this place. Everyone is so friendly and we have a good time while I am there. I even take my kids to FLOSS Kids on Lakewood. The free ZOOM once a year is a bonus! You can still do it in office or the at home kit. I recommend this place to everyone!

Do not, under any circumstances, let Dr. Kasali near your teeth. He did quite a bit of work on my mouth a few years back. I needed old metal fillings replaced and a crown on one tooth. This was (and still is) an absolute nightmare. I could tell right away that the crown didn$0027t fit right. There was a huge gap between the top of the crown and my gums. This is not how a crown is supposed to fit. I called and asked for him to fix it. I went back in (I think this was Spring of 2015) and he told me that he had fit the crown like this on PURPOSE because he wanted me to have use of my «natural tooth,» but that he would «remember for next time that I didn$0027t like crowns to fit that way.» Then he and his dental assistant slapped some composite on to try and fill the gaps. Needless to say, I did not go back to him because I lost all confidence that he knew what he was doing.
Fast forward to now and I have a new dentist. That crown now needs to be replaced. After only 2 years. There is staining (i.e. decay) because, SURPRISE, food gets caught in the huge gap between the crown and my gums. All the flossing in the world (and believe me, I try) won$0027t get all the food out. I would post pictures (my new dentist sent me the pictures from the inside of my mouth), but I$0027d rather not gross everyone out.
Crowns should last MUCH longer than this. Insurance won$0027t pay for them to be replaced more than every 5-8 years. So now I need to replace a crown using money out of my own pocket.
I$0027m currently trying to get my money back from them. I$0027ll update this post to let everyone know how this goes.
Update 8/4/2017: Kristen at FLOSS Oaklawn called me today (I$0027ll note that Kristen has been very responsive and helpful). She said that, after reviewing my case, including new X-rays and pictures taken by my new dentist, FLOSS corporate was wondering if I would consider going to another dentist at their Cedar Springs location to get my crown replaced at no charge. Though in a perfect world, I$0027d probably rather have my money back, I do consider this to be good faith offer on their part. So I$0027m taking them up on that offer. If this crown doesn$0027t go well, then we$0027ll see.

Since it had been a couple of years since I went to the dentist, I thought it might be true. They filled them. A few weeks later, one of the fillings came out. Floss fixed it. The next year at my yearly checkup, Floss told me I had 11 cavities. I left and went to a dentist I trusted back home. He ran xrays and told me that I actually had NO cavities..and that the original 2 cavities probably were not even real cavities either. Since that time, Floss$0027 filling has fallen out AGAIN! So, now I have 2 holes in my teeth thanks to Floss that have cost me much time and money to keep replacing them…and they weren$0027t even needed! Don$0027t trust them..they just want your money and don$0027t care about what it does to you.
