Very dissapointed!!! I called like 3 months ago and asked if they are doing teeth cleaning and one of the staff said yes thats why i went. This place is a joke. Booked an appointment a month ago and specifically told them what I wanted done. Then comes my appointment and all of the sudden we are in COVID because we totally weren’t a month ago and they are only doing emergency treatments for patients. This office looked very clean and nice. The staff are very professional and attended to my daughter$0027s needs right away on the same day without having to make an appointment ahead of time which was very convenient for me because my daughter$0027s tooth was hurting her really bad. This was the first time my daughter$0027s been to a dentist so she was very nervous but when we arrived, the staff was very welcoming and was able to reassured my daughter that everything was going to alright. After my daughter was done, the dentist gave my daughter travel size pouch that had a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, scope, and much more. I am totally blown away by this place! I was expecting the worst given the neighborhood and some reviews I$0027d read. Yes they were busy and no nonsense but NEVER rude or uncaring. I was seen even though they couldn$0027t find my insurance verification. Dr. Nghiem was very kind and explained everything he was doing. He treated me as though I was his own kid. The receptionist was slammed with the phone and patients at the desk. Somehow she handled it all with a smile on her face. Horrible service, probably one of the worst I$0027ve ever received. Two family members went in for a cleaning and they both came out after 5-10 minutes. They both said they felt extremely rushed and the staff were extremely rude. The staff speak vietnamese and chinese and just talk badly about people the entire time; you can hear it all from the reception room. I was asking a few questions for a possible procedure for myself and the lady started yelling at me. I first asked if my insurance covered for regular cleaning and she took my card and rushed the insurance check, rudely sliding it back to me saying «You$0027re not covered here.» I was shocked and then proceded to ask about a different procedure that is cosmetic. Cosmetic procedures are not covered but before I could finish my question she kept yelling «You$0027re not insured here! You have to go elsewhere!» She kept yelling that the procedure won$0027t be covered by insurance and I kept stating that I understand. I just wanted an estimation for the procedure. After saying this 3 times and finally talking over her that I am indeed going to pay out of pocket, she completely changed her attitude. She become very nice, her tone became softer, and very accommodating. She left to get one of the head dentists but by that point my whole family was tired and just left. They$0027ll price gauge like no other. Was told nothing would be covered under medi-cal yet the websites states that cleanings and necessary work are covered. Was told to pay in cash (most likely to avoid tax ) after calling out the old rude dentist for shady work and price gauging he gave attitude. Overall, I can honestly say avoid this business at all cost. It$0027s a shady business that price gauges both the patients and their medi-cal insurance. Will be reporting to better business bureau as well as state sponsored dental insurance. Just because someone is not of the same socioeconomic background does not mean they should be treat subpar.
