I would highly recommend this place.
The staff and Drs are very nice and honest and almost painless.

Very thorough work!
Ive had two root canals, three crowns, and an onlay. The staff has been very nice and they are very knowledgeable. Theyve taken good care of me and my wife for almost two years now. They also work with you on payment plans to get the work done. Just make sure to get a workable payment plan figured out before they start to work on your mouth.

If I could give o star I would. Went to dentist, made a treatment plan. Went in to have teeth pulled under anaesthesia, came to with teeth pulled, stitched, no bone grafts. the surgeon and his asst knew nothing about me getting bone grafts. Come to find out, the dentist treating me had decided that I did not need grafts, never discussed with me, neither did office personnel as I was paying that AM, I even mentioned that was lower than what we had discussed. their response at the time was that my insurance had paid more than they expected.
Whenever I have had a tooth pulled I have gotten bone grafts and with my health issues really important. But did not want to go back to them and no longer trust them for anything. In order to fix I have to go through surgery again, it was difficult for me to heal first time, and it should be done right away.
Gave me temp partials and said when I healed, come in for perm. Called to discuss that and what additional if any cost there would be, after few months, said they would call me back after financial looked over everything, or they would take message, but never a call back. By my insurance they charged them but I no longer have this insurance and really do not want to deal with these people anymore. Guess what after calling 3 times I have never received a call. They know they screwed up.
If you want them to make your health and dental decisions for you, go ahead but I and no one else I know will be seeing them. They had a potential for 10 new customers and lost them. 2 were getting braces, 1 implants. If I had not been going through divorce etc I was considering trying to sue them, but probably too late now.
Stay away from this dental group, may have just been that dentist, but you never know.

I$0027ve recommended this dental office to multiple friends and family members… EVERYONE I$0027ve recommended to them has stated that they are a cut above… For me they have always been fast, friendly, and very informative. At my first consultation they gave me a complete consultation regarding my entire mouth to achieve «perfect teeth» from there I selected the services i needed vs cosmetic, even arranged a payment plan for the cosmetic services not covered by my insurance.

Brandy my dental hygienists totally remembered to save me the bubblegum flavor polish to polish my teeth with! Cause we all know the adult flavor tastes like crap! It came complete with a post-it note saying it was for me! BAM! VIP status right there! Special order! Screw the lollipop! I got bubblegum flavored polish… I$0027m set! Peace!

Every visit that my kids and I get treatment are pleasant and comfortable to be at the dentist, the staff show$0027s much care towards their patients.

Ahora escuchen, como dije anteriormente, cuido muy bien mis dientes y SIEMPRE me mantengo con limpiezas y cuidados. NUNCA he oído hablar de tal cosa. $ 400 de mi bolsillo solo para una limpieza ?! Eso es una locura. No pudieron apresurarme (que es todo lo que era, obviamente), y luego les dije que eso era absolutamente ridículo y me dijeron «oh, déjame ver qué podemos hacer por ti». Luego regresaron con un precio más bajo que aún era escandaloso. Me sentí como si estuviera en un lote de autos usados.
Por supuesto que me fui e hice otra cita en otro lugar donde me trataron como una persona real y no como una bolsa de dinero.
Si tiene un ingreso ilimitado y puede pagar cientos de dólares de su bolsillo para servicios dentales BÁSICOS preventivos que están cubiertos al 100% por el seguro en otros lugares, este es el dentista para usted. I went in for a cleaning simply because this dental office was close to my house. I had braces for 2 years and have always taken great care of my teeth with regular dental check ups so I am very familiar with dentists, cleanings, costs etc. I had googled this office and even though some of the reviews stated that they were way over priced I decided to give them a shot anyway due to the fact that I had also read sonewhere that they were under new management? I went in and without even examining my teeth they told me that I needed a laser cleaning and that even though I had Excellent insurance my OUT OF POCKET COST WOULD BE OVER $400.
Now listen, as I said previously I take very good care of my teeth and have ALWAYS kept up with cleanings and care. I have NEVER even heard of such a thing. $400 out of my pocket just for a cleaning?! Thats insane. They were not able to hustle me (which is all it was, obviously,) and after I told them that that was absolutely ridiculous they said «oh well let me see what we can do for you». They then came back with a lower price which was still outrageous. I felt like I was at a used car lot.
Of course I left and made another appointment somewhere else where I was treated like an actual person and not a bag of money.
If you have an unlimited income and can afford hundreds of dollars out of pocket for BASIC preventative dental services that are COVERED 100% by insurance other places then by all means, this is the dentist for you. If you are like the rest of us and dont want to get ripped off though, I would go somewhere else.

They boast about how they value a clients time, yet every appoint they run 45 mins to 1 hour behind. I was scheduled to get my permanent crown; waited an hour only to be told SORRY we don$0027t have it. It has been 4 business days and they still don$0027t have it or can commit to when it will be deliveried. TIME to find a new dentist

Read the reviews, especially those pertaining to billing and cost. I got the old bait and switch. A few months ago I went in for laser deep cleaning that i paid for. However, when i repeatedly asked about a regular cleaning that my insurance covers, they would NOT give me a straight answer, adding that my insurance will not cover the entire cost for the procedure i needed. Ok, I$0027ll buy that, but they still tapped dance around my questions. Nonetheless, today was my appointment for a follow up, to which they advised me a few months ago that there would be NO COST to me. Today, they asked for $95. So, I requested, again, for a regular cleaning covered by my insurance. The girl at the desk told me that Safeguard is a «Discount» insurance that I don$0027t qualify for a basic cleaning because they$0027ve been boning me for other services, hence, they couldn$0027t go backwards. So, apparently, they will manipulate the insurance in reference to their diagnosis so that they can bill for the most they can get out of your insurance AND reach into YOUR POCKET every time. Several years ago, they tried to extort me, yes, I said EXTORT money out of me, saying that since they made the diagnosis I COULD NOT have the services they «recommend» done anywhere else, but ONLY with them, after i advised that i would be going elsewhere. I quit them back then, but, I returned thinking things changed after a change of office staff. Today I called my insurance and they told me that i am allowed two basic cleanings a year, and there is no record of they being billed for one yet. Dentist at SDDO still needs to make his boat payment, i guess. Things still haven$0027t changed. By the way, my wife had a deep cleaning done at her dentist office. It was $50 cheaper at her office for the same procedure.

Thank you all so much!! Had the worst toothache of my life and showed up at the office this morning with no appointment… I was seen with in 10 minutes and within an hour they solved my problem at an affordable price. Everyone was so kind and compassionate!! Thank you all so very much!

I had the best dental experience I ever had here. It was my first time here that this office. Everyone was so nice and cared about my needs.. I$0027m just so thankful for the amazing job everyone did. The best part is I can smile again and not be ashamed to show off my smile. San Dimas Dental recientemente cambió de propietario y el nuevo grupo es fantástico. Tuve que regresar debido a la rotura de la corona y el Dr. Zak (el nuevo propietario por lo que entiendo) se encargó de reemplazar la corona dañada a pesar de que él no fue el responsable de colocarla por primera vez.
Él fue muy amable y antes de que mi radiografía se me presentara. Le conté sobre mis experiencias previas en la oficina, se disculpó (aunque ni siquiera estaba allí) y me explicó que no es así como él maneja las cosas.
Era un lunes por la tarde cuando entré con mi corona rota por lo que no pudo terminar el proceso esa noche. Me dieron al día siguiente con una cita a las 10 am. Llegué unos minutos antes y me registré. ¡A las 10:03 estaba en la silla y estaba trabajando en mi diente! A las 10:40 mi nueva corona (que se tenía que hacer durante ese período de tiempo) se me colocó en la boca y volví al trabajo.
Excelente servicio y volveré para mi limpieza muy pronto. Me alegra ver que el Dr. Zak está dirigiendo el programa aquí ahora y espero que mis futuras visitas sean tan fáciles como mi arreglo de la corona. También aprecio que lo arregló de forma gratuita a pesar de que podría haber dicho que era propiedad anterior. Levántate amigo y gran gran personal! Todos fueron muy amables y profesionales.
REVISIÓN ANTERIOR:
Disfruté muchísimo del personal de esta oficina de dentistas y está muy limpio y tecnológicamente avanzado. Lamentablemente, se venden como locos. Tuve un tratamiento de conducto aquí y parecía realmente caro, pero fue el primero y no supe nada. Unos meses más tarde tuve un chip de diente y lo fui a buscar. Dijeron que necesitaba una corona en ese diente y me dieron las opciones. Una vez más, me pareció caro pero negocié entre $ 800 y $ 525 simplemente pidiéndoles que bajaran el precio ya que el dinero era escaso y yo quería el ceño de porcelana / cerámica más barato que podía obtener. Esa debería haber sido mi primera advertencia de que sobrecargan severamente.
De todos modos, hicieron el trabajo de preparación para la corona y concertamos una cita para la próxima semana para obtener la corona permanente. Durante esa semana, decidí llamar a mi compañía de seguros y preguntarles por qué era tan costoso y por qué no cubrían más el costo. Me dijeron que mi copago por una corona de cerámica / porcelana debería ser de $ 225. Ese fue el precio que la oficina del dentista me presentó por una corona de metal. Mi seguro dijo que una corona de metal sería de $ 100.
Cuando llamé para pedir una explicación me explicaron que el seguro cubre un tipo diferente de corona de la que me estaban poniendo y que la corona que me estaban poniendo era de alta tecnología y la última y mejor. Le expliqué que había pedido la opción más barata y nunca me dijeron que podía salir de allí por el copago de $ 225 que el seguro dijo que era lo que debía pagar. Dijo que no citan ese tipo de corona de porcelana / cerámica porque no es tan fuerte como la corona CEREC que pusieron. Le pregunté si podía cambiar a la versión más barata y me dijeron que no porque ya había firmado el acuerdo para la otra corona (que admitieron que no se había hecho aún). Al final, dedujeron otros $ 100 del costo, así que obtuve la corona de CEREC por $ 425 cuando originalmente me cotizaron casi $ 800.
Mi consejo, si tiene un presupuesto limitado y no quiere que el nivel de Mercedes trabaje en sus dientes, sino simplemente quiere que la buena y confiable Toyota vaya a otro lado. Siento que me engañaron e incluso les expliqué eso cuando les pregunté si podía cambiar a la corona de menor costo. UPDATED REVIEW:
San Dimas Dental has recently changed ownership and the new group is fantastic. I had to go back due to my crown breaking and Dr Zak (the new owner from what I understand) took care of replacing the damaged crown even though he wasn$0027t the one that was responsible for putting it in the first time.
He was very nice and before my x-rays introduced himself to me. I told him about my previous experiences at the office, he apologized (even though he wasn$0027t even there) and explained that$0027s not how he runs things.
It was late on a Monday when I went in with my cracked crown so he couldn$0027t finish the process that night. They got me in the very next day with a 10am appointment. I arrived a few minutes early and checked in. By 10:03 I was in the chair and he was working on my tooth!!! By 10:40 my new crown (that had to be made during that time frame) was placed in my mouth and I was on my way back to work.
Excellent service and I will be going back for my cleaning very soon. Glad to see Dr Zak is running the show here now and hope my future visits go as smoothly as my crown fix. I also appreciate that he fixed it free of charge even though he could$0027ve said that was under old ownership. Stand up dude and great great staff! Everyone was very nice and professional.
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
I thoroughly enjoyed the staff at this dentist office and it is very clean and technologically advanced. Unfortunately, they up sell like crazy. I had a root canal done here and it seemed really expensive but it was my first one and I didn$0027t know any better. A few months later I had a tooth chip and went it to get it looked at. They said I needed a crown on that tooth and gave me the options. Once again it seemed expensive but I negotiated them down from nearly $800 to $525 simply by asking them to lower the price since money was tight and I wanted the cheapest porcelain/ceramic frown I could get. That should$0027ve been my first warning that they severely overcharge.
Anyway,they did the prep work for the crown and we made an appointment for the next week to get the permanent crown. During that week I decided to call my insurance company and ask them why it was so expensive and why they didn$0027t cover more of the cost. They told me my co-pay for a ceramic/porcelain crown should be $225. That was the price that the dentist office presented to me for a metal crown. My insurance said a metal crown would be $100.
When I called to ask for an explanation they explained that the insurance covers a different type of crown than what they were putting on me and that the crown they were putting on me was high tech and the latest and greatest. I explained that I had asked for the cheapest option and they never told me I could get out of there for the $225 co-pay the insurance said was what I should pay. She said that they don$0027t quote that type of porcelain/ceramic crown because its not as strong as the CEREC crown they put in. I asked if I could switch to the cheaper version and they said no because I had already signed the agreement for the other crown (which they admitted hadn$0027t been made yet.) In the end they deducted another $100 off the cost so I got the CEREC crown for $425 when they originally quoted me nearly $800.
My advice, if you are budget minded and don$0027t want Mercedes level work on your teeth but just want good ole reliable Toyota go somewhere else. I feel like I was deceived and even explained that to them when I asked if I could switch to the lower cost crown. They still said no and that on my next visit they would note I wanted the cheaper service that my insurance covered with my co-pay. I told them there wouldn$0027t be a next time since I wouldn$0027t go back.
Side not, they also told me I needed a deep cleaning and that was going to be $300. My insurance also disagrees with that amount and when I asked this office about it it said that their deep cleanings include a laser treatment that cost an additional $200. Up-sell up-sell up-sell! Thats the game here. Once again, if you are budget minded I would HIGHLY suggest going somewhere else.
