I had worn down, chipped teeth from years of bruxism but before I could fix it, I needed to straighten my teeth. I discovered Nuffield Dental which was in the same space as Smile Direct where I completed a 4 month alignment plan.

Nuffield Dental is a very well-organised and high tech clinic. The staff are incredibly friendly and well-spoken. My dentist was Dr Khee who helped to fix my broken teeth and gave me the most beautiful straight smile ever!! He communicates very well and is gentle each step of the way. He also speaks respectfully and clearly to his staff which I was very impressed by. The vibe in the clinic is very positive and cheerful.

I had 2-3 separate sessions to whiten then fill my teeth. The whitening treatment was very thorough. The clinic has a television screen on the ceiling where they play original high-resolution drone footage of beautiful landscapes, accompanied by soothing classical music. So whilst you are lying in the dentist$0027s chair, you can focus on something calming.

Dr Khee is very skilled and was able to give me a very perfect smile without any pain at all. After my Nuffield experience, I have decided to switch over permanently. I just have a tooth extraction and implant done by Dr Kumar. He is indeed very fast and skilful…initially i was so nervous about it and he keep assure me that i will be fine. Best of all, Dr Kumar was singing throughout the procedure and that really help me to relax. I was in immense pain from my wisdom teeth and visited The Dental Implant Centre. The waiting time was barely non- existent and I had DR. Samintharaj Kumar as my dentist. One of the most proficient and kind dentists that I have ever visited and extremely good at what he does. If you have a phobia of dentists I believe that Dr. Kumar would make it disappear with how easy he makes the procedure seem. My Wisdom tooth surgery was painless and easy and I truly appreciate what he has done for my teeth. 1) Dr Samithraj and team suggested a surgery to extract an extra permanent tooth for my 5 years old daughter. Was given a quote of 4500 SGD. Went for second opinion with one of the top dentist in clarke quay as didnt want to take chances. Completed the extraction for just 60 SGD . The top dentist wasn$0027t told about our nuffield visit as we didnt want a biased opinion. So relieved to see my daughter$0027s face before and after the extraction… like nothing happened. imagining what my daughter had to go through if i would have just agreed to Nuffield$0027s proposal.
2)Was charged for full mouth Xray for daughter, that wasn$0027t taken correctly even the second time. First X-ray taken came so blurred that nothing was visible. My daughter had to go through second X-ray in few minutes to be taken wrongly again. instead of full mouth extra, 2nd time doc took X-ray only for top tooth$0027s. only to realized the mess up laer but decided to ignore. since i didn$0027t want 5 years my daughter to go through xray multiple time.. i was sad but returned home without disputing. However given the incompetence i saw didnt want to take chances and wanted to go for second opinion. I was also furious that i didn$0027t have proper xray that i can carry to other dentist for second opinion. Followed up twice to give me a proper xray or refund. No response.
3) Having visited couple of times, nuffield in kovan , harbour front and raffles place. My experience is bad. Previously, I had a traumatic dental experience at some other clinic. This happened quite some time back in 2019, in which I was having an excruciating pain on my posterior second molar due to an infection caused by my impacted wisdom tooth. I was presented with various options such as endodontic treatment (root canal treatment), dental implant to replace infected teeth or extraction. I choose the latter to get a quick to the problem. However, shortly a few weeks later, I developed a rare condition due to a poor healing in my teeth extraction site. There were visible jawbone fragments protruding out of my gum causing severe discomfort and irritations. I went back to seek follow-up from the same dentist, who did a surgery to smoothen the sharp edge of the jawbone, and he also went on to do the implant for me. As he kept emphasising that my jawbone quality was good for an implant placement, which can help me restore my smile and full confidence. I agreed to proceed as I thought it would be a win-win situation, in which I can get rid of the pain caused by the gum infection and get new artificial teeth to replace the missing teeth. My joy was quite short-lived as after some months later, I developed some allergic reaction in which there were visible rashes around my chin area. Moreover, it has affected the quality of my life to a large extent, as I felt tired and lethargic most of the time. Despite having sufficient rest prior to my daily activities, I just could not focus well on the things I enjoyed doing. After quite some time, I took upon myself to look for a solution to the problems I am experiencing. At the time, I knew that the root cause of the problem must be due to the dental implant in my mouth. Through extensive online research, I managed to find some credible sources from medical experts that suggest that certain individuals may have the tendency to develop allergy symptoms to a titanium implant. In the sense, it may cause a metallic reaction in the jawbone which would potentially compromise one’s immunity. Furthermore, the titanium implant that didn’t integrate well with the jawbone can also cause galvanic corrosion which can trigger other serious health problems down the down. In the end, I have to make the hard decision to remove the implant in hope that my health conditions will improve progressively. He did a detailed analysis of x-ray and assessment of the dental implant in my mouth. The overall removal process was done in a professional and meticulous manner. In within 10 minutes, he successfully removed the osseointegrated dental implant for me. I must say it was a huge relief to have it removed, as since then my health has improved tremendously and I can now re-focus on the priorities in my life. Dr Kumar was a reassuring, knowledgeable and professional dentist with vast experience in the field of holistic dentistry coupled with great bedside manner, who truly cared and understood the needs of his patients. Really the best dental experience of my life. Went in 6 months a go with a broken molar and had it completely replaced. It$0027s better than new. Now just went in for a regular checkup and cleaning. Got my teeth cleaned. Dr Surinder and I constructively and proactively discussed my dental health. All good! I$0027m even looking forward to my next checkup!
