I have recently been looking for a new dentist and came across Gateway Dental. I noticed all of the reviews and how recent they were so I decided to give it a shot. Going in, I had certain expectations… Coming out, Gateway Dental exceeded those expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly. As for the Doctor, she was very professional and so polite. She explained everything in great detail, and answered all my questions before I even had the chance to ask. Nonetheless, she was spectacular and has won me over as a future patient. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Ive been to plenty of dentists through out my life and my experience here has BY FAR been the most positive Ive ever had! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Salazar! Ive certainly had nice dentists in the past who Id be happy to see again, but Dr. Salazar surpasses them all! Such a friendly environment and I really liked all of the staff.
It is rare to come across dentists who genuinely care about the health and well-being of their patients, and I can assure you without a doubt that Dr. Salazar is one of them! Shes so very cheerful and friendly, while also smart and skilled in the profession! Id recommend this location to everyone, but especially for individuals who are perhaps more nervous or afraid to receive dental treatments because Dr. Salazar is extremely considerate and certainly more gentle than most dentists (great for younger patients)!
Dr. Salazar really is PHENOMENAL! And it certainly helps that her assistants and staff members work so efficiently!

While my tooth is being worked on the employees are congregating in my room talking loudly in Spanish what are they cooking for dinner , discussing weight loss issues, laughing and carrying on with no regards for the patient. Most important of all they did not have the proper tools to work with , THEY WERE SHOUTING FROM ONE END TO ANOTHER- HEY GET ME THIS FIND ME THAT . REALLY???? I s this happening right now.

Every time I go to this place they over charge me… I have insurance but they charge me for things that insurance would normally pay for. They start adding extra fees I really need to find a new dentist. Last time I went they told me I had a cavity, but it was too small for them to take out. However, I moved closer to the Pembroke Pines location and not only is it FILTHY, its located in a plaza that shouldn$0027t have a dental office for sanitary reasons! I took my son to his appointment for a cleaning at 1PM and we waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes. The staff is rude, they asked us to wait in the car because they were behind and over booked! Sitting in the car and its nearly 100 degrees outside! Whats the point of making an appointment?
The only thing thing that they were concerned about is getting authorization to pull his wisdom teeth… They didn$0027t even ask for my consent!!! I will not go back there I rather take the drive for future appointments! Did I mention that the parking lot is filthy with soiled diapers?? Never again!

Would not recommend coming here , Staff members are really rude , i had to wait over an hour and 30 mins after I was injected with anesthetic , they had to do it THREE TIMES ! it ended up fading due to the long wait not only that but they charged me even though I had called my insurance earlier to make sure everything was covered and my insurance said everything was good to go . this was just for a tooth extraction and it hasnt been the first time this had happened before I had to keep coming back to this place to get antibiotics because my tooth ( the one that I ended up getting extracted ) kept getting infected even though they told me nothing was WRONG with my TOOTH this place is full of FRAUDS they just want your money!!

I have very good group coverage from my Employer which is a Healthcare organization. This place basically «works» the dental plans and add procedures that are not standard because the covered items do not pay them enough. I checked with another dentist friend of mine to confirm if D4265 is needed for pulling wisdom teeth and he had a nice laugh. This is because the covered item for extraction is $35.00 but if you «work» the plan you can add on an additional $250 D4265–Bone graft and tissue restoration fee that you say is required..LOL.
Needless to say I contacted our Hospital group administrator contact at Delta Dental to advise him of this.
I want to be clear that this is not the only dentist that does this, they all seem to have learned how to «work» the plans but this was by far the biggest upsell and they say you can$0027t decline the extra procedure as it must be done…. it is the icing on the top! Its like when you go for the 20 oil change but of course that oil is not real oil and it becomes $50.00.

I have been going to this location for a few years, but I was highly disappointed with my last visit. I would not recommend to visit Gateway Dental during COVID-19 because you will be required to pay an extra fee for the «extra steps» they have taken to protect the client. My first question was, why is the CLIENT paying for the «extra steps» during COVID-19, that was put in placed to keep the office «safe» or sterilized. Until this day, I am still trying to figure out what are these «extra steps». The only two things that were different from all my other cleanings, was that my temperature was taken in the waiting area, and I temporarily received clear googles during my cleaning. I felt that I was blindsided when given the price I had to pay for a regular cleaning. I have NEVER spent so much on a cleaning in my life. If I understood this to be the case prior to my visit, I would have respectfully declined their service. I was also disappointed with the dental assistant that checked me out on that day. She had a negative demeanor when I expressed my concerns and she would be the reason that Dental Gateway have loss a long time customer.

Finally found a Fabulous Dentist that quickly diagnosed a cracked tooth. I decided to have it removed and Dr . she was able to do it. She prepared me very well, telling me what I should expect and Everything she said is the way it went. No surprises and NO PAIN! Everyone starts to speak Spanish as if assuming you know the language, which I feel is rude. I could hear the office manager speaking to a patient in a loud tone instead of closing that patients door, providing privacy. I heard the entire conversation on his his insurance could say whatever they want but they go with what the doctor saids, and that he needs to pay the difference, etc. She sounded rude to me and a bit abrupt. Glad I didnt have to deal with her. My dentist was wonderful but it would of been nice if the Dental Assistant would speak English. Once I answered her in English, she basically stopped engaging with me. I dont think she speaks a word of English. Furthermore, everything she needed to relate to my dentist, in My room, was in Spanish. Thats rude because she already knew that I didnt answer her questions in Spanish. The employee conversations (several) in the hallway, were always in Spanish.
