What a terrible experience here. I had an appointment for a simple cleaning covered 100% by my insurance instead they wanted me to have an advanced cleaning that was not covered by my insurance and I would be out of pocket several hundreds of dollars. I told them I wanted what was covered by my insurance and they again pressed for the more expensive service but this time they offered me their «FREE» credit. I will be sharing this experience with Aetna so they are aware of how this company is extorting people during a pandemic. I highly recommend any other office.

Very disorganized office, appointments times given are always wrong. You take off work for an appointment time they give you and you arrive to find out they changed your time and didn$0027t notify of changed times ( this happed three different times). Had a crown done and it was a disaster. Was fitted for a mouth guard and it never fit and was completely wrong. Was asked for simple school note for my son and it took three days to get when it should of been given at the time of visit when asked for.

The last time I went there before the pandemic, the Dentist just hurt my gums when cleaning, that is definitely the worst part ever. They charged us some bigger payments for cleaning. That place was abusing me like crazy. I only went there once but some of the dentists were nice but one of them was very rude. I will never go back. This place should shut down forever.

Due to a change in our insurance, this became our new dental office. While the office and staff are nice, we had SO many issues from the start. The crowns they made were so poorly done and had to be redone twice. One crown cracked within 2 years and they refused to cover it because my daughter didnt come in every six months EXACTLY. We had set appointments months in advance that got cancelled or bumped time and again which really was a problem with our college students (including this daughter) who live out of town. I am so disappointed with the 3 year experience we had with Lake Houston Smiles.

I recently decided to stop treatment with this office with Dr. Bush. I got two other dental opinions on the diagnosis, and it appeared that the diagnosis I received was incorrect. Which leads me to believe that the treatment plan recommended was solely for the purpose of financial gain for the office. I had the utmost respect for the dental team, but I feel used because they only saw a good insurance plan that would cover the cost at 100% (TRICARE, military insurance). As an active duty service member and tax payer, I would expect more integrity from a provider. I will never go back to Lake Houston Smiles and discourage anyone from going there if you want you services rendered with the patients best interest at mind, not just the money that comes into the dental clinic.

When This office opened in Kingwood it was great! Clean, friendly staff and great hygienist. The they got a new hygienist (SVETLANA REYES) and she is shaming and rude. Its hard enough to go to the dentist without having someone shame you. I did find the pressure for crowns a bit over the top but not afraid to say no. Very awful. After showing up one day for an appointment and seeing a handwritten sign saying they are closed due to systems being down with no warnings in advance, I should have known it was not going to be good.

I overheard the assistant asking her to return for said explanation. The dentist spoke rudely and loudly to assistant in an annoyed tone, Uh, Ive already told her.
This was spoken loudly enough for me to hear in another room. 1-Health care providers should always be willing to explain procedures being done. 2-The professionalism to explain why I need a specialized treatment vs. a less expensive one covered more by insurance should NOT be a problem if it is really necessary.
My past two dental cleanings in the past year I have had no problems with my teeth according to other dentists.
AFTER an hour, THEY STILL DID NOT HAVE TIME TO DO MY CLEANING….but they wanted me to stay for a 2-3 hour filling. I was shocked. I came in for a cleaning and was told a list of things to do and felt like I was getting sold items. ALSO, they wanted me to reschedule for a 3rd time to get a cleaning!!!! Crazy. Going to get another opinion and hopefully finally get my cleaning. Which is now not within 6 months thanks to them.

Church members referred me to another dentist. The result was NO crowns or fillings and a regular, routine cleaning. I suspected that Lake Houston Smiles and its owner was unscrupulously OVERCHARGING patients and I confirmed it by getting a total of three other dental exams. Lake Houston Smiles was the most egregious. They legally hide behind «being cautious» to charge high prices for work that is not needed.

I was very impressed with my treatment here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While I wasn$0027t in the waiting room long there was coffee and it was very clean. Brand new x-ray equipment that was done in a separate room from the cleaning.
