Yesterday was my first visit to Northwest Family Dental. They were very pleasant and professional. They had an emergency extraction while I was there and checked in with me often to make sure I was okay while I waited. I had to leave quickly at the end to pick up my daughter and they accommodated my needs by offering to email my treatment plan to look over and we would discuss once I had a chance to do that. I had a great experience at Northwest Family Dental! The staff were all incredibly nice and worked with me to plan for my best dental health. I was not happy with my visit here. After my initial exam, I was told I needed a gingivitis cleaning. I was told after insurance I would still have to pay $140. I then asked if I could just have a regular cleaning bc that is expensive and insurance fully covers 2 cleanings a year. They told me that wasn$0027t possible. I called back a couple of days before my cleaning and asked again if I could switch to a normal cleaning. They said no, but could knock some of the extras (antibacterial rinse and who knows what else) off and would only charge me $67. I said fine.
So today I went in; my hygienist was very nice and friendly. The «gingivitis cleaning» took 25 minutes. From what I read on the internet a typical gingivitis cleaning can take 1-2 hours. From my perspective, it just seemed like a more painful normal cleaning.
I won$0027t be returning to this office. I will look for another dentist.

I came to them and doctor Lopez removed my teeth and fitted me for immediate dentures. He was kind and did a good job. I had insurance and my copays was high. I paid what they told me. I told them a check would be fine and they said it would be on it$0027s way. I talked to Casey last week and the same. I just don$0027t think good companies would do this. I live off my social security and VA disability and $250 is a lot of money. Highly disappointed! I also appreciated the extra effort in explaining the care plan and the impact/limitations of my insurance to me as anxiety sometimes inhibits me from focusing. This is especially helpful during COVID when having that additional person in the office with you as the patient (to support in understanding and plan for care) is not encouraged at present. Stay far away from this place!! Went in for a deep cleaning, and due to cost issues, wanted to switch to just a basic cleaning. Was informed that they could ONLY do a deep clean as my gingivitis told her that the regular cleaning couldnt be done. When I asked why, I was told the polishing cream would irritate my gums. I asked to not do that part and she still refused. No matter what I asked about just doing a regular cleaning she still refused. Funny part is I have never had an issue in the past, my gums are healthy per what I was told during my exam and they look healthy. I was blown away when she refused to work with her patient to do as they wished and not what they wanted to sell. On top of all that, they sent me a $600 bill for work I have never even had done! Do not trust them. The office is rude, not very friendly at all.

I just started coming here earlier this year. After years of neglecting my teeth I finally decided to take care of myself and see a dentist to get me back on track.
I was nervous about it for 2 obvious reasons. 1 is insurance and cost, the other is anxiety and pain that I associate with trips to the dentist. I$0027m not anxious about either of those things now.
For my first visit they took x-rays and pictures and physically examined my teeth and gums. Then they came up with a game plan for tackling the work. They wrote it up and were able to show me exactly what they could do and what my insurance would cover.
I$0027ve been through a few visits and the progress is great. We started on a tooth that I was self conscious about with a crack in it right in front. You would never know that it ever did, it looks perfect now! The amazing thing is I was so sensitive I winced from pain when air was blown on it, but they did such a good job I didn$0027t feel any pain whatsoever during the procedure. I almost fell asleep because I got comfortable and they put the radio on for me.
I feel really comfortable coming here knowing I am not going to hurt and there won$0027t be a shock when I see the bill. I also actually enjoy seeing the people there as well.
