Like other reviewers, I also had a problem with the staff member («office manager») that handles insurance. She lacked understanding of basic verification and in/out of network policies.
I continued to work around it and only asked to hold my child$0027s appointment for a 15 minutes so I could do my due diligence with insurance.
She said she didn$0027t understand, wouldn$0027t listen to me, continued to interrupt me and pushed me to my limit. I$0027ve NEVER lost my cool with anyone over the phone but she pushed me over the edge. I disconnected the line to take a breather. (No one should ever be pushed like this over insurance verification.) I called back and she kept pushing me and not letting me speak until I lost my cool.
Given that others have spent their time to complain about her here, someone should really work with her on basic customer service skills, like giving people who are calling in with a need, the opportunity to speak, listening skills and the ability to problems solve.
I$0027ve ALWAYS been able to communicate easily with people, but I felt sick hanging up the phone when I had to resort to raising my voice. She degraded me as a mother and made it about herself when it should have been about getting my child in for a serious issue.

We enjoy going because our kids love the Dentist, Dr. Beverly and her staff. My kids are 4 years old, 2 years old, and 1 years old. Dr. Beverly is one of the best pediatric dentist in the Monroe area. She allows the parents to come back with the child, during cleanings and treatment appointments. She also offers sedation, as well as the hospital option, which I found to be very helpful. The hospital experience was by far the best. My daughter has used Dr. Beverly for around 4 years now and she has been a wonderful dentist, my child loves her and she has always done amazing work. As far as not letting the parents go back into recovery before they wake up, my child has been to several different facilities over the years to be put under for tooth extraction. Her baby teeth all had such long roots on them, just as mine did, and they all had to be pulled at the proper times. Not one of the facilities we ever used allowed me to enter before she had already awoke and yes the first time was terrible she was scared and crying and in pain and still delusional from the medications but that was not the Dr. who made those rules its the hospitals so you can not blame Dr. Beverly for this occurrence. I just thank god they have the ability to put them to sleep for this now as they did not when I was a child and it can be traumatic for a child to have 8 teeth pulled at one time with just a little gas to ease the pain. Each time they put her under it got easier and easier depending on the dentist, but when we used Dr. Beverly the nurse came to get me and when I got to her she was laying peacefully on the bed waiting for me she drank her sprite put her arms around me and I carried her out of there and drove her straight home with no complications, such as vomiting, as we had experienced in the past. Our experiences with Dr. Beverly have been much better then the other Pediatric Offices in this area. She is such a sweet and likable person and she is wonderful with children.
