I have been using Dr Lara, Hygienist Silvia and team for over two years now, and I am very pleased with their services. I have started bringing my whole family as well. Everyone loves the experience. Their equipment is technologically up to date, and most importantly, they don$0027t do anything to our teeth that is unnecessary. The kids are always excited to visit, and my oldest daughter loves their Rose picture book in the lobby as well. The affects of a life threatening car wreck illuminated I had to have all of my teeth extracted. After 42 years at my previous dentist, I decided to try one closer to this side of town (I dont like change ??). This office is amazing! Everyone is very nice and accommodating. She was pro-active when diagnosing my oral Lichen Planus (auto immune disease), immediately sending me out to see another highly trusted professional in the area, and I couldn$0027t be happier with her initiative. She went over the possible treatments with me and never sugar coated on the «undesirable» side effects of my condition. She was also open to listen to my concerns, never being judgmental to the fact that I decided to take some alternative routes to my treatment alongside with the conventional dentistry treatment as well. I have never, in my 63 years, been to a dentist where compassion rules and patient comfort is such a priority. The atmosphere is peaceful which is a reflection of all who work there. I switched to a new insurance that my old dentist did not take. In search for a new dentist, I wanted to find one that was not a chain dentistry. I drove by a couple of places and knowing the Uptown Park area, I knew that it would be a nice place for a not-so-nice event (dentists…scary!).
I know from experience that with later in the day appointments, you usually have to wait a while in the waiting room before you are called back. Then there is the long wait sitting in the chair. I was taken back to the chair almost immediately, and the dentist began immediately. This was definitely the shortest amount of time I have had to spend in the dentist. They were all very friendly and informative.
I had absolutely no discomfort during the cleaning process either (flossing has always been horribly painful for me!). I could not believe that I felt no pain during the flossing process.
I highly recommend Dr. Lara Regis$0027 practice to everyone. The staff is very quick to getting back to you on any needs.

I had no problem giving the information needed, and that is exactly what I did in the first place. It is not my fault that your staff bumbled up, and refused to call that there was a problem. Your staff said they would call if there were any problems, but they did not. Since I have not heard anything, I believed everything was taken care of. I called to see if there were any forms to fill out, and how much my copay would be. They told me my insurance expired but I know that is false. My parents called the insurance company who verified that we were still covered. Come to find out that your staff wrote my father name down wrong. After total frustration with your office staff, and lack of concern I turned it over to my parents. My mom answered the call from your staff, and they said insurance would not cover anything. My dad called, and he got a totally different story. Given all these issues, I decided it would be in my best interest to cancel my appointment.

Having moved to Houston about a year ago, our family needed a new dentist in the area. Thorough, and unsurprising; (they present you with a plan of action ) there is not a finical gotcha when work needs to be finished.
As for the actual procedures, our old Dentists in our town (which will remain nameless) must have been trained during The Spanish Inquisition. This placed is more akin to Star Trek as far as procedures, pain management, and plan options.

My husband and I moved to this area about a year ago. I had a wonderful dentist where I was from and was looking for someone I could feel the same way about. That happened when I made my first visit to Dr. Lara Regis. I went for a routine teeth cleaning. When I first saw Regis I was in allot of pain and had no clue what was going on, her staff took x rays of my mouth and then showed me what was going on.
