I cant say enough good things about Cipes Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Cipes, Dr. Cipes Chisholm, and the staff are all so incredibly warm and professional. Our children have gone to the office for both routine care and urgent care after an unexpected tooth injury and in every visit, the doctors have spent ample time answering all our questions and providing the highest quality of care. Were glad to have found such a wonderful office that actually have our children feeling excited about going the dentist (and the fish tank and fun prizes)!

I went to Cipes Pediatric Dentistry as a child and now am lucky enough to say I bring my children to Dr Cipes and Dr Chisholm. I cant say enough about what Cipes Pediatrics means to myself and my family. I have had the unfortunate, traumatic, dental incident with my daughter, of course after hours and on the weekend. Dr Cipes was available to me after hours, at a time she didnt need to be and when I needed her most. There is no value to the kindness, support and care Cipes Pediatrics provides to your child and family when going to the dentist can be difficult for our little ones (and some scary moments as parents). I couldnt imagine going anywhere else and am beyond thankful to the entire staff at Cipes Pediatric Dentistry who treats you like family the moment you walk in!

Our family appreciates the time and personalization given to each patient and their specific needs. This practice strikes the balance between being proactive but not overly aggressive with unnecessary treatments. Their moderate and careful approach to our sons teeth make this practice stand out from others we have visited. We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Cipes! My daughter was very anxious to have her tooth pulled and Dr. Cipes was so patient and calming. She actually gave us a trial run where she showed us everything and explained how it would work and then had us come back a week later so that my daughter could feel more comfortable with the procedure. Dr. Cipes is amazing! My 5-year-old son had a fear of the dentist and she was so patient, kind, and skilled in caring for him. You can tell she truly cares for each patient and has a way with kids that just calms them down. I was truly blown away. My son was happy and comfortable through an exam, xrays, and repairing a cavity (over the course of 3 visits). He was always encouraged and she took the time to let him adjust to each new step. She also took the time to explain things to me and so I could help him prepare and be more comfortable. She talked to him and told stories to help him stay calm while she repaired his teeth. I am so happy to know we have such a great pediatric dentist and highly recommend this practice. Everyone there is so kind and wonderful with kids!

The staff in this office are all wonderful and go out of their way to make sure every patient and their families feel welcome. I have a child with multiple disabilities, and his hygienist Leigh is phenomenal working with him and making sure he is comfortable. She always makes sure we have a positive experience. My son had been to various pediatric dentist$0027s in NYC for 5 years due to his severe dental health and no major changes. When we came to CT and found Cipes Pediatric Dentistry they welcomed us and explained step by step procedures. In less than 1 year, my child dental health change drastically and he really enjoys coming there. They are a clean, kid friendly atmosphere. The entire staff are pleasant, sensible, professional and understanding. Both, Dr. Chisholm and her mother Dr. Cipes are amazing. I have been taking my eldest son to Cipes Pediatric Dentistry for about 3 1/2 years and my little guy for about 2. We cannot speak more highly of Cipes Pediatric Dentists. My daughter is a toddler and she fell and broke her front tooth. The dentists were calm and competent. My kids love going to the dentist. Dr. Cipes and Dr. Chisholm are exceptionally warm and great doctors. The hygienists make the kids feel extremely comfortable. Both my 3.5 year old and 5 year old look forward to getting their teeth cleaned. I had a fantastic experience at Cipes Pediatric Dentistry today! It was my daughter$0027s first visit and we were very nervous because she has autism and we didn$0027t know how she would react. The waiting area was very welcoming and accommodating to children with toys, books and a beautiful fish tank. The staff was very friendly and didn$0027t have any issues with my daughter who was unfortunately crying very loudly and having a tantrum. They told me where the bathroom was if we needed it and that we could wait wherever we wanted and they would find us when they were ready. When it was my daughters turn to go in she had been having a meltdown since we wouldnt allow her to play behind the counter and I became very worried the visit wouldn$0027t be a success. The staff came to bring her in and we$0027re so patient and understanding. They didn$0027t rush my daughter and let her take her time getting to the room. I was so happy they had a more private room in the back for her to go into, which helped her calm down pretty quickly. The assistant was quick to let us know we didn$0027t have to be stressed or worried and that she wanted us to know everything was ok and that they didn$0027t want us to be uncomfortable. I immediately started to feel better and she was so calm around my daughter who started to warm up to her quickly too once se took out a camera to take a picture of my daughter :). The assistant showed my daughter a stuffed shark that had a full set of teeth and gave her her very own new toothbrush just so she could try to brush the shark$0027s teeth. They didn$0027t rush my daughter to sit down immediately and just let her get adjusted to being in the room. Once my daughter was settled in, then they brought in the dentist, Dr. Cipes. She was so amazing. Her demeanor was so calm, cool and collected. She was so kind to my daughter and made a connecton with her while still continuing her conversation with mom (me) and dad. Eventually my daughter sat right in the dentist chair and Dr. Cipes. sang the cutest song to her while she counted her teeth and to my surprise she somehow got my daughter to cooperate. I even saw my daughter crack a big smile at me at one point! Dr. Cipes$0027 assistant went and got my daughter an awesome toy when she was done checkling her teeth. Since it was her first visit to the dentist, Dr. Cipes explained to me that ny daughter would come back for an actual cleaning on a separate occasion. She also informed me about a picture exchange book available on their website for me to download and show my daughtet in advance of her next visit. She explained the importance of letting my daughter know what she should expect as that is very important for children with autism. Dr. Cipes was so knowledgeable of children on the spectrum and their behaviors, it felt as if she was a mother of a special needs child such as myself. I was truly amazed at how kind hearted the staff were and how Dr. Cipes spent her time with us and didn$0027t make us feel rushed. Her assistant even scheduled our next visit from the same room so my daughter wouldn$0027t have to go back into the waiting area!I highly recommend this dentist practice to anyone with children whether or not they are special needs, but especially if they are on the spectrum.
