Dr. Matev is amazing and I would definitely recommend him. He is so caring – during recent filling replacement, he stopped periodically to give me a break and he asked frequently how I was doing. Update: I previously had written a 5-star review for this place but then had some follow-up dental work that had made me change my mind. Essentially, I got a filling done here and then experienced intense pain with chewing in that area. It was an immediate onset after the filling and only with chewing. I went back in to ask about follow-up and what it could be – no answers. They werent sure what the problem was and suggested a possible root canal if a solution could not be found (yikes!). Thank *goodness* I went somewhere else for a second opinion. After not chewing on that side of my mouth for ages, another dentist found the problem had been how the filling was laid. It was laid incorrectly with cheaper filling material – allowing the filling to shrink once hardened. This created pressure on the tooth. Further, my next dentist found 2 air bubbles in the filling – further contributing to the pain. I had to have the filling completely removed and re-filled at another dental office. Unfortunately, it was a painful and more expensive process to have to correct their work.
On the upside, my experiences with the actual dentists, hygienists, and office staff has been positive. They were nice. I just dont think some of the dentists had the experience to fully understand the problem. So with that, Ill definitely stick elsewhere!

Been going for years. I$0027ve never felt like anyone has ever outdone themselves. Just feels average. I$0027ve had a pretty consistent hygienists and the latest one has been good at cleaning, but the dentists change every 6 months and none of them are on the same page.
Within the last 3 visits I$0027ve had one dentist tell me I needed something fixed. The next two, different dentists, have said nothing.
The latest one pricked at my filling harder than any other dentist and then tells me it needs to be replaced. Not sure what to believe here.
Don$0027t expect anything special.

This place needs to improve its sensitivity with patients. I have been a patient for over three years. Every single visit someone says something weird to me. Here$0027s a sample:
–(My first visit) Who did this dental work? This is terrible.

–you have rotten teeth, young lady
These comments, and the many other examples like it, are unhelpful at best and rude at the worst. Especially on the my dental work and «rotten teeth,»! I grew up poor and had poor dental care. I don$0027t need to be shamed for that.
At my most recent visit, the dentist and the assistant discussed equipment issues for most of it! As in, things they had run out of, not being able to find the equipment they preferred, and trying to match the drill bit (or whatever the technical name is) for the drill they were using, which was important because they «didn$0027t want it to come off in the patient$0027s mouth.» NOT what you want to hear before someone does dental work on you.
Also, they seem to have a lot of turnover. I have yet to be able to see the same dentist twice, in my three years of being there!
I hope this place does some kind of sensitivity training, and I hope prospective patients reading this (especially if you$0027re black like me, tbh) find a place with better care to avoid the experiences I$0027ve had.
