There is no way to make this a short story but I will do my best. In September 2019 I had to have a tooth pulled. I called and scheduled an appointment with Allred Family Dentistry. Not a big deal for most people! For me it was a huge step due to an incredibly bad experience in my teens with another Dentist… Over 30 years later and still terrified by the thought of going to the Dentist I showed up for my appointment. The front desk was welcoming and very friendly. I was introduced to Adriana, and I explained my concerns and fears. She understood my concerns and fears but her smile and friendliness instantly put me at ease. She was very encouraging, supportive, and professional. I was also introduced to Dr. Marc Allred. He too was supportive, understanding, and professional. As one can imagine, after 30 years of no regular dental visits my teeth were in pretty bad shape and on my very first visit they had to remove two of my teeth. The procedure was done with little to no pain and eliminated my fear of the dentist. During my follow up visit Dr. Allred and Adriana discussed all the options that I had to give me the smile I had always dreamed of and wanted. I was impressed with the honesty, knowledge, care, and respect that was used to discuss my situation. Over the last 4 months Adriana and Dr. Allred worked their magic and spent many hours working on restoring my smile. I can not thank them enough for their professionalism, kindness, and understanding. They finally completed their work today and I am absolutely ecstatic over the results. Your office and staff is awesome and I would highly recommend you to anyone.

Let me start off by saying that the Dentist Office is the last place I ever want to be. However, if I have to be there, I would choose Allred Dentistry time and time again! The customer service is amazing. Everyone is so personable and friendly! I had to have a temporary crown done today and this is the most serious dental work I$0027ve ever gone through. Dr. Ben made sure I knew exactly what he was doing and what was coming next all while making sure I was comfortable. His sidekick, Judy, was fantastic as well. She made me feel so comfortable and did a great job assisting the Doctor! Their team work was impressive and the respect they both have for one another was shown the entire time! I can not say enough great things about Dr. Ben, Judi, Susan, and all of the front desk team. I am the traditional I hate the dentist person but the care that I received at Allred in Hampton has changed that.

I have been a patient at Allred Dentistry for over 8 years. This practice is wonderful and they truly care about their patients. Heather is my hygienist and she is very caring and painless. Dr. Ben has the best manner with patients and explains everything going on in your mouth. I like how positive he is. Today I had to have an existing 12 year old crown put on by another practice cemented back into place. The office scheduled me to come in the same day. I have moved to 4 different cities, within this time, it doesnt matter where I live I will always take the time to drive out to this office. We love Dr. Ben Allred. He is so friendly and kind! He is one of the few dentists that doesnt zone a kid out with a movie. He talked to our little girl and made her feel comfortable. She told me she had so much fun getting her cavity filled! Wed love to keep him as our family dentist, but were very disappointed with the billing policies. Dr. Allred is out of network for our insurancewhich we knew beforehand. Our insurance said they would still cover 100% of a cleaning for Out-of-Network offices. No worries, we figured we may have to pay a little more than an in-network office. To our surprise, the price for the cleaning was triple the allowed amount! We have never had a dentist charge so much for a cleaning. Our insurance paid their allowed third of the bill, then we were billed for the remaining $200! We have never paid that much for a cleaning ever!
We have been to many dentists and even with an out of network insurance the office will work with us by writing off part of the remaining balance. We find the billing practices at Allred Family Dentistry to be very rigid. We asked to talk to Dr. Allred over the phone to discuss a solution to this, but his office refused to let us talk to him. I feel this is very poor customer service. It feels like there is a disconnect between the wonderful service of this dentist and the billing staff. If Dr. Allred is in-network for your insurance, you will be very pleased with his service! However, If you are out of network, I would recommend finding a different dentist.

My fiance went their this morning for a x-ray, he was pleased with how everything went. After the x-ray, they asked him if he would be willing to have some teeth pulled. He said yes, the process went as smoothly as it could have and we will definitely be going back. He said the staff took care of him as well as they could have.
