This dental practice is quite outdated and the hygienists work for a third-party (you will never meet the same hygienist twice). I am sure this was once a great place to have your teeth cared for. My office visits have last 3+ hours and cost approximately $300 without X-Rays. Even if you have wonderful insurance. On one visit I was told the Doctor didnt have time to see me. The coordination with the front desk has been very painful. There are no follow ups, very low accountability and care management. The bottom line is that I was overcharged and months later have never received a refund.
I leave this review as encouragement to those seeking a wholistic health dentistlook elsewhere. Very overpriced, no regard for the patienta time and an overall negative energy to the office environment. There is no in-house integrative care, everything natural or wholistic health related gets referred out of the office. Dr. Jones is very sweet, knowledgeable and friendly, I am not sure what is amiss with regard to the overall deflated experience many patients seem to have. Take care.

I recently visited the office of Dr. Jones for a routine cleaning and left impressed by her professionalism. First, I regularly brush my teeth, yet my visit revealed that I needed to do more for my gum health. I am a recent transplant to Houston and was recommended Marilyn$0027s practice by friends. I was worried there would be difficulty with my insurance and transferring my paperwork from my dentist back in MD, but receptionist was extremely helpful and took care of everything.
The waiting room was nice and welcoming. Unlike most doctor or dentist appointments there was no waiting an hour after your original appointment time. The staff was prompt and courteous.
After being lead into the exam room I was greeted by a technician/ hygienist (?) who cleaned my teeth and took the necessary x-rays. Marilyn came in after and was extremely nice and patient answering all my questions about a minimal oral surgery I would need to schedule for the future.
Overall for a dentist appointment it was a very pleasant visit 🙂

I have been to several dentist offices in town and I have always struggled to find one that met a few simple requirements: appointments that start on time, a friendly staff, and most importantly, a painless dental procedure. My first contact with anyone was the lady running my xrays. I believe her name was Debbie? (beautiful, calming older black lady). She was so amazing that I feel horrible forgetting her name. I was nervous and she could see it. I have a small mouth and they usually struggle to get xrays, especially in the back where they need. I gag, it causes tears, it$0027s a process. This didn$0027t happen here like other places. She handled me like she would a family member – caring, calm and gently. I was amazed.
The hygienist did a decent job while she worked on me. When I was leaving, I had questions on how to handle the financial because it was my first time in the office. The lady doing the financials was sitting at the far end of the front desk and wouldn$0027t look at me to answer my questions (like how do I pay). The hygienist started answering for her, and also started talking me into seeing the other hygienist instead of her when I came back for the polishing. The conversation was a terrible ending to a great first visit. I debated going back at all. I never went back for the polishing.
But the dentist and Debbie were amazing, so I went back. This time the dentist got upset at my rambunctious tongue preventing her from working and she was concerned that she couldn$0027t do the best job. It made me uncomfortable a bit and with the front office staff/hygienist, I wasn$0027t looking forward to going back. I almost cancelled even though the crown was ordered.
I went back and had the crown put on. I must say that the dentist was calm, and patient and kind. I couldn$0027t believe how long she worked with this crown to get it right. She took many x-rays to make sure that it was in the right place. She didn$0027t leave anything to chance or guess. Seeing her work, I understand that she genuinely wants to do the best job for you and takes pride in her work. I have had many crowns, and I have never had a dentist that did the work that she did to ensure it was right. The crown itself has never given me a single issue.
I moved to TN, but I would travel back to see Dr. Jones and Debbie. I would not go for cleanings (granted there are 2 hygienists and I only saw one) and the financial lady will have to get over people having questions. I need to know how to pay. Why is it the best Doctors/Dentists seem to have the worst staff? I guess with Debbie and Dr. Jones being such gold that you need some downers for balance.

My regular dentist failed to make my appointment so I came into this dental office as a walk-in and surprisingly was seen within minutes. It was just a routine check-up but they found a minor cavity on my back molar. Fortunately, I have set up a follow-up appointment with Dr. Jones instead of my regular dentist. I was really impressed by the staff and the professionalism. I received literature about gum health and when I called back an hour later with more questions, all were answered immediately. She did a great job at explaining everything she was going to do and made me feel very comfortable as a first time patient of hers. She was very professional and her staff was very friendly and helpful which is a plus in my book when it comes to medical care. I loved that the office was easy to find and not too far from me.
Overall I would reccomend Marilyn Jones to my friends and family especially if they want to have an as little as pain free as possible dental visit along with a dentist that actually cares about her patients. I will be back for sure!

Before coming here I had a bad experience at the previous dental office I visited. Therefore I was scared and expected the worst.
I came in for a regular check-up and cleaning. Everything went well, no cavities, doctor and dental assistants were also very nice and thorough with the process. They also took care of some fillings that needed to be done and now my teeth don$0027t hurt when I eat something sweet.
Will definitely be coming back for regular check-ups and cleaning, and any other dental procedures. Highly recommended.
