Front office is quite weak. Most of the time a person wasn$0027t even there. I had to wait for the dentists and the new assistant to come to the front wondering what$0027s going on. The Dentist tried to tell me i needed all this stuff that no other dentist has told me before, I assume to make more money off of me. I$0027ve been to 2 dentists since then, mentioned these specific things, and was told that was completely absurd. The equipment, which was only half working, also had these questionable buildups of some grease looking orange globs on them. The assistant struggled to get the xray arm in position because it didn$0027t work, giving the xray bitewing a long time to dig into my gums. That felt great! The icing on the cake was they said they accepted my insurance but then assigned me to a dentist in the office that didn$0027t take my insurance. It may have been good at one point, but do yourself a favor and don$0027t go to this place now. Questionable sanitation picture included.

I just have one of those mouths that is a problem. Hard to get and stay numb. Im grateful to Dr. Drescher and the entire team for the amount of care they show me despite my dental deficiencies. I have big anxiety because I have numbing issues. Stephanie does a great job of keeping a cool and calm tone. Dr. Drescher makes sure to walk me through everything hes doing to help keep me calm too. I have been a patient here for over 10 years, and have never had a problem with my care as a patient. However their customer service and billing is a nightmare to say the least. I received a bill dated 08/19/20 from them which I promptly paid on 08/25/20 for the full amount. Something must have happened in mis-applying the payment and they had their collection agency contact me many times by sending me letters. I have called them at least 5 times and per their voicemail I left my call back number, and never did they call back once! I sent two letters directly to Dr. Brewick and also never received a response. They have no online site to view your billing and they won$0027t respond to any request to call you back or send you a written response when you ask for it.

Seemed to be fishing for money where ever they could. Will only give you the most expensive option. I would avoid.
It was my first time going to them and I have never had previous problems with my teeth, (no cavities, no teeth pulled) were always pretty healthy. I try to go in for a routine teeth cleaning and they tell me I have periodontal disease. They proceed to tell me I need to come in to do two different cleanings. Each one to numb one side of the mouth and deep clean. After everything moving so fast and then saying their sorry for the bad news, another person ask me if I wanted to do a $100 dollar test that wasnt covered by insurance to see what kind of bacteria it was in my mouth.
After getting the appointments set up I end up getting a second opinion from a trusted source. The other dentist told me all I needed was a really good cleaning and to keep up on flossing.
This group may have wanted to be on the safe side of things but they did not give me any other options and honestly to me felt like they were fishing for as much money as they could get. I can not speak for them, but I will never try going there again.

In regard to the atmosphere and location, the place is like a sanctuary. Dr. Brewick keeps a variety of plants in each room and the vintage building provides a calming environment that does not feel strictly clinical. Located in the heart of Cap Hill, two blocks from my apartment, you really can$0027t beat it.
