My mother took me to Dr. Mizell when I was still a minor almost 10 years ago. She told my mother that my silver fillings needed to be replaced. There was no reason for this, as all of my other silver fillings are still going strong 15+ years later. She removed and replaced all silver fillings on the top portion of my mouth, 4 to be exact. It was a painful experience. I remember crying in the chair and begging my mom to look in my mouth when she left the room, after she removed them and drilled my teeth down, before she installed the new white fillings. Her demeanor was cold as were the people in her office. I had a gut feeling something was wrong. Over the course of the last 10 years every single tooth that she touched has had to be removed. I have been told from several dentist and an oral surgeon that my teeth were drilled down to far, thus killing the tooth. Each tooth decayed underneath the filling. The fillings eventually fell out as the tooth decayed around it and 2 abscessed. Thanks to Dr. Mizell, I have had four extractions. Luckily, I never had my wisdom teeth removed, so they came in and replaced 2 missing teeth. I am still missing 2 molars. I have had to have bone grafts to prepare for implants. I am still in need of implants which cost $8000 for the 2 molars that I need. Thank goodness for my wisdom teeth or that 8k could easily turn into 16k. BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE. My mother was a single mom with cheap insurance. She listened to this «professions» opinion. She took advantage of my mother, our insurance, and my health.

This office has some incompetent staff members. One would assume that when you call the front desk, that person has access to see and schedule appointments. But no, it seems like they have someone call back after taking down your information and insurance info, and pass it along it for someone else to call you and schedule the appointment. Have yet to receive a call back to schedule that appointment. Not interested in going to a dental practice that seems to do things like this with scheduling and never calling back when they say they will have someone call me.
