They had skipped over me and helped everyone but me. At this point I am fuming. I am a disabled man who was also told I needed someone to help me get into the dental chair. So I brought my caregiver with. When I arrived they said they could work with me in my wheelchair. So not only did I waste my day. But I had to pay my caregiver for coming with. So in the end, I$0027m out money and didn$0027t get the service I came here for.

This is more of a late review but in 2019 I came to this dentist to get a cleaning. Honestly, the waiting time was for an hour and a half. Then got into the room and had to wait for another 45 min to see the dentist. Their cleaning left my teeth so sensitive for a month to the point that I couldn$0027t drink or eat anything hot or cold. And during the cleaning I was in so much pain. I$0027ve always had good experience with going to the dentist, I also was told that I had a cavity in one of my lower teeth and that they had to do a procedure. I was scheduled for the procedure but I never went back. It was such an awful experience and get this. I went to a new dentist and was told that I have no cavities. I even asked are you sure? Bc Familia Dental told me a that I had cavity and that I needed a procedure and he responded with no your teeth are great. So honestly don$0027t go here. Worst dentist experience in my life.

First visit, they got the wrong size fitting in from the lab. Had to wait three weeks for the next one. Plus, the temporary filling late less than a week.
Second visit. They got the wrong fitting completely from the lab. Needless to say they won$0027t be paid what they quoted us. Got my bill reduced by half.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, ONLY and I repeat, ONLY reason I came here is because they are open during the weekend. Oh boy, where do I start?! Want to speak to someone in that office? Well have fun calling their switchboard which takes 15 Plus minutes to get someone all to pull you up and transfer you to the location you need and wait another 15 minutes minutes. You are given the option to have them call you back versus waiting, BUT the 3 times I have selected that option I never hear back. Have a billing issue? That department is a mess too and no one ever calls you back(Left a message too). I called a few times for a referral to get my wisdom teeth pulled and after leaving multiple messages I finally got someone. They claimed they never got my original message and to make matters worse, the Dentist I saw no longer practiced there so I needed to re establish care with a new dentist and have ANOTHER exam(wish I knew that 3 weeks ago to get this process going). Since I needed another exam, I asked to also have a cleaning. On the day of the appointment, I ended up having the pure exam and they never did my cleaning! Out of frustration about all of this and wanting to get out of that place asap, I forgot to see what was going on with the actual cleaning part of the appointment. I ended up leaving right after my exam since they said I was good to check out now. I informed the hygienist to please upload images of my exam to the surgeons office (which never got done) and I was on my way. I tried calling the office back once I realized I never had my actual cleaning and to make sure my insurance doesn$0027t get billed for services not rendered. Keep in mind, I asked for an exam AND a cleaning which I am sure they didn$0027t perform, yes they did some scaling, but almost none and didn$0027t polish my teeth, floss etc which is what prompted me to call them back. Long story short I left messages and two days after have still not heard back from them or billing. Today, I called again since the surgeon$0027s office said they never received my x-ray images all to wait again another 30 min. I expressed my frustration with the switch board and they apologized and promised they would reach out to the Manager there. Lets see if I receive a call back, stay tuned!
Keep in mind, I NEED some extractions!
IF you are on Government assistance I suppose this place is better than nothing, but if you have actual dental insurance that you pay for… do yourself a favor and go to a private Dentist or a better clinic like First Choice.

The staff was friendly, and the Dentist was kind. Coming from regular teeth cleanings and a different dental office, we were a bit disappointed in Familia Dental$0027s cleaning and exam. The cleaning was very quick and not thoroughly done. There was no plaque removal, or deep cleaning. I have been to Familia Dental a few times. I, like many others, tries avoiding regular dentist appointments due to anxiety- but the last 2 times I had gone, I had a tooth pulled. So now I had to wait another week and I$0027m in pain. I$0027ve been to the hospital 3 times this year because my back molars needed to be taken out I was in the worst pain of my life . The hospital doctor was very gentle and ki.d but couldn$0027t get my tooth out so she numbed me up and told me to call the dentist immediately because I had an exposed nerve. I called the next morning and they wouldn$0027t see me as an emergency appt. The appt they set for me was a little over a month away. There was no way I could last even another day . I ended up driving 2 hours to Milwaukee to get my tooth taken out. A couple years ago familia dental got a tooth out for me and dropped it in the back of my throat. They yanked me up and we$0027re yelling at each other in another language. I was really nervous bc I didn$0027t know what happend or what was going on. I didn$0027t make a big deal out of it I just asked «what$0027s wrong» and that$0027s what they told me. That I almost swallowed the tooth. I suffer from Chronic Depression, anxiety, and Tourettes syndrome. It really hard for me to even get out of bed yet alone go to the dentist.

I am very upset. I had an emergency appointment set up for yesterday (December 30th,2020) and drove an hour there and waited 45 minutes and all they did was xrays and poked around i left in more pain than i was originally in.There was a seperate time when i had an appointment drove an hour there and they tell me the dentists wasnt there that day, never called to inform me of it either.Ive never had a good experience with this place.
